Gisele Bündchen is the star of the October 2018 special edition of Vogue Brasil. Approaching Roots as a theme from a very personal point of view, the supermodel was captured in her homeland along with part of her family and articulates what she considers essential about roots in her life. Marcelo Gerab was invited to develop the soundtrack for the digital film that was released along with the print edition, in one of the most important editions in the magazine’s history.

Cutouts and organic lines of metallic percussion were combined with synthesizer harmonies and digitally edited to create delicate yet ear-filling ambiences. When the film builds more action, with scenes of horses running in the field, it was necessary to give rhythm to the editing with a smooth and polished electronic beat, but without leaving the desired atmosphere, reinforced by discreet piano lines.
