ZOE is the line of electric cars focused on business fleets, the biggest experiment by Renault, an automaker that is the leader in electric car sales in Europe and currently has the largest national electric park. In February 2021, Bloco was invited to produce the soundtrack for the line’s launch film in Brazil.

The first half of the film reinforces the importance of sustainability for Renault and then delves more deeply into the specifics of the brand’s electric cars. Following this narrative, we created a score that begins with a more traditional orchestral instrumentation, with acoustic instruments and musical themes that refer to the classical, although modern. From the middle of the video, the same themes are played by synthesizers, which bring a certain mystery and enhance the sound aspects of electricity, giving an essential change of mood for the announced novelty.
