“Walk Freely” is Havaianas’ first global campaign to adopt a more aesthetic approach to audiovisual production, with no voice-over, where the soundtrack speaks for itself and aligns more closely with the language of fashion films than conventional advertising. We had the privilege of debuting the audio production in this bold step taken by the multinational giant that is authentically Brazilian.

In the first release of the series, titled “Senses” and shot in a plateau landscape with lush nature in Brazil’s Central-West region, we were able to explore a very specific pop music sensibility. The soundtrack is built primarily on a consistent groove of guitars, bass, and electronic drums, but as it reaches its climax, it dissolves and reveals a lyrical, dreamlike bed of synthesizers.

In “Routes”, the second release of the series, shot along the coast of São Paulo state, we maintained the pop influence while leaning more toward R&B, incorporating vocal fragments within a rhythm that does not conceal its electronic origin. The lyrical and dreamlike synthesizer bed is also present in this film and serves as a guiding thread throughout the campaign.

“Encontros” is the third release in the series, shot in Rio de Janeiro. Moving away from the city’s obvious beach scenery, it was filmed among streets and parks. Sonically, we preserved the musical phrase that functions as a connective thread across the three films, now placed in a context that begins with a touch of bossa nova and soon transforms into a funk carioca beat.
