Deságue
Revista Amarello
“Deságue” is a short film directed by Pedro Perdigão, shot on film and produced by Revista Amarello. We were invited to handle the audio direction, sound design, and final mix for the project, which features narration by Zé Manoel and music composed by Fred Demarca.
The film dives into the lives of two fishermen from the São Francisco River, between Alagoas and Sergipe, whose lives are crossed by a Brazilian mythological water being. This entity, rooted in the depths of the Brazilian collective imagination, brings to the surface a narrative that spans generations, forming a plot as old as the river itself. The legend serves as a call to observe the relationship between people and the waters that surround them, reflecting on how myth and reality often intertwine in ways that shape our understanding of the world around us.
